GL Cargo

Certification for compliance with regulation II-2/19 of SOLAS
The requirements for the carriage of dangerous goods in packaged form have been changed with the new amendment to SOLAS including regulation II-2/19, which came into force on 1 January, 2011. The newly developed service GL Cargo provides valuable information for our clients on the changes in table 19.3 of SOLAS chapter II-2, regulation 19 and the revised standard format for the Document of Compliance for the Carriage of Dangerous Goods according to MSC.1/Circ.1266.

GL PROTOS

The BC Code has been replaced by the mandatory International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes Code, the IMSBC Code, came into force on 1 January, 2011. Certification of dry cargo ships in view of compliance with the provisions of the Code via GL PROTOS is being demanded increasingly by the industry. GL PROTOS is assisting all parties involved with sea transport of dry bulk cargoes and will become even more important upon the mandatory application of the Code.
